Zurich Nightlife – Zurich is not well known for its nightlife in term of international standard. In fact, it is not even on the itinerary on must big star tour concert. In spite of that it still has quite a variety of night spots and entertainment. And since the change in rules which allow some all night opening, the night scene has grown a bit. The main concentration of night spots is at Langstrasse and there are quite a numbers at Niederdorf.

Casa Bar, Münstergasse 20.
The city’s longest running jazz venue. Features live music nightly.

Dynamo, Wasserwerkstrasse 21.
Like to be known as a “youth culture centre”. Besides hosting live bands with an inclination to punk culture, it is also a disco and jazz school.

Moods, Sihlamtstrasse 5.
A premier jazz club, with a good restaurant. Attracts top-flight jazz bands from around the world to play here almost nightly. Tickets should be booked in advance.

Widder Bar Widdergasse 6
The best spot in the historic old town, the Widder Hotel’s jazz bar hits all the right notes. Sophisticated and a stunning bar of spirits. A nice place to warm up in winter. Pianist on most nights and a band on Tuesdays. Quality weekly jazz nights.
